Sabarimala temple?
This shrine dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, popularly worshipped as Swami Ayyappan is visited by millions every year and is the most famous and prominent among all the Sastha temples. Sabarimala is believed to be the place where Lord Ayyappa meditated after killing the powerful demoness, Mahishi.
The Sabarimala temple is a temple complex located at Sabarimala inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India.

As per the temple history, the Sastha temple at Sabarimala is one of the five Sastha temples founded by Lord Parasurama. The Temple was mostly unreachable for about three centuries even after it was built. In the 12th century, Manikandan, a prince of Pandalam Dynasty, rediscovered the original path to reach Sabarimala.
